NASFF's road to becoming a full-fledged Native American federation.
The idea
Start small. Build right.
NASFF didn't wait for a full roster to start. It started with one angler, a camera and a plan: enter the 2026 Pan Americans, show the pathway, then build the federation behind it, one step at a time.
Here's the road from that first entry to a team in Panama.

Dates beyond Florida are targets, and they move with sponsorships and the organizers' calendar.

The federation is founded
Name, crest, nasff.org and info@nasff.org, and the organizers confirm a one-athlete NASFF entry for Florida.
- November 2026
Florida: the first entry
One angler fishes the 6th Pan American Surf Fishing Championships at Sebastian Inlet, on camera from start to finish.
- Winter 2026–27
The film and the roster call
The Florida story comes out, and the call for 2027 anglers goes to tribal nations and Native anglers.

Selection
Criteria and dates are published once the tournament details are released. Applications are reviewed, and enrollment is confirmed privately.

The roster
A roster named only as big as sponsorships can support, with passports and travel booked.
- 2027
Panama
NASFF's first multi-angler team at the Pan American Championships. Dates are set by the organizers.
